You have to love an agency whose motto is “Coffee is always the answer”. It belongs to strategy-first creative agency, B.B.E. The Sydney and Melbourne agency has just merged with its production partner, Media Creatures. Media Creatures doesn’t have a tongue-in-cheek motto but its current home page features a fully grown man in a toy car.
The merger is really the formalisation of a collaboration that has already proven successful. The two companies have been working together on live action, animation, live stream and broadcast content, including the Medibank 2018 Invictus Games campaign, since 2015.
B.B.E’s clients include Medibank, Momentum Energy, Specsavers, and Roadshow.
Adam Beaupeurt, strategy director of B.B.E., commented, “We’ve worked closely with Media Creatures for a number of years, so this acquisition has been an organic progression and a natural fit that formalises the strong relationship we’ve formed. From this foundation, and with clearly aligned and complementary skills, culture and services, Media Creatures becoming a part of B.B.E will offer improved value and breadth of production abilities for clients, along with efficiencies in speed of creative and delivery.”
Media Creatures founder and now video production director at B.B.E, Tim Hamilton, added, “We couldn’t be more excited by the merger with B.B.E. It has already opened up new and creative opportunities for the whole team.”
The opportunities for all B.B.E employees to further expand their skill-set is particularly exciting, with production and creatives getting the opportunity to get closer to the video production process and edit suite, while the Experience Design team will learn more on motion graphics. This gets the team closer to the client problems we’re solving.”
Beaupeurt continued, “Our clients are already experiencing the benefit of having video production vertically integrated with the rest of the B.B.E team, as well as the new ideas, skills and enthusiasm the Media Creatures team brings. We’re excited for what the future holds.”
