To have one agency ranked in the top three at the Effies is a mighty achievement. BBDO has three in the Russian Effies. It has taken out the entire top tier of the Effie Russia Index 2020.
BBDO Moscow, Instinct and Contrapunto have been declared the most effective Russian advertising agencies. This is the first time in the Effie Russia history, when the agencies from the same advertising group are ranked in the top three. The competition has been held since 1968 in 55 countries on 5 continents as well as on a global level.
For BBDO Moscow, ranking #1 as the most effective agency in the country was a repeat performance. The agency topped Russian Effie ranking with the highest score (100) and received the title Agency of the Year for the fifth time in a row.
Instinct agency achieved #2 with a very small from the first place (98 points). It also won the Grand Prix and its client, IKEA, was ranked #3 in Effie Brand Rating.
Contrapunto is #3 (92 points) with 12 awards, 8 being gold. The agency’s client, VimpelCom, was ranked #1 in the Effie Brand Rating.
BBDO Russia Group media agencies were also among the winners: seven awards received by OMD Media Direction and two by PHD.
In total, BBDO Group agencies in Russia won 46 Effies, including a Grand Prix, 15 gold, 10 silver and 20 bronze awards.
Among the winning work were campaigns created for Mars, PepsiCo, WWF, IKEA, VimpelCom, Megafon, MTS, Beru, Petrovich, Hasbro, Google, Gett, ŠKODA and Audi.
