The Clio Awards have turned 60 and BBDO Los Angeles is making sure that milestone is noticed by its industry. The Agency and illustrator, Sam Spratt, have created an interactive digital mural in which the great ad people and landmark campaigns feature – as well as the Clios most infamous moment.
The mural is a quirky homage to Renaissance painting, digitally annotated so you can waste several of your 9-5 hours becoming a know-all about advertising. Wieden & Kennedy chairman, Susan Hoffman, sits in front of a can of Guinness. The Old Spice Man takes a centre front spot, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne’s Graham by his side.
Ronald McDonald adopts a David pose while Burger King’s King is adorned with his trademark grin. George Lois, David Ogilvy, Colleen DeCourcy, David Droga, David Lubars, Linda Kaplan Thaler, Jeff Goodby and Rich Silverstein “demand” that your eyes meet theirs.
Fearless Girl and Barbie stand side by side overlooking it all.
