Lloyds Bank is a prestigious account. The bank was founded in 1765 and Adam & Eve/DDB has been its creative agency since 2015. The agency has just shot its new campaign, Running of the Horses, on New Zealand’s South Island.
“Bringing such a prestigious production to New Zealand is great for local creative industries, promoting our high standards in cinematic and innovative work globally,” stated Matt Noonan, executive producer and founder of Curious Film. One of Dunedin’s most striking beaches, Tomahawk, was featured in the campaign and the making of the ad has attracted local media interest.
Curious was chosen to assist Pulse Films and Adam & Eve/DDB to produce both the commercial and the stills campaign. The seven-day shoot employed more than 150 Kiwis, including many of New Zealand’s top commercial talent.
“We’re stoked to be a part of such a cool and creative project, especially on our beautiful local shores,” Noonan commented.
The film with its rich cinematography was filmed across the South Island, primarily in Dunedin. It is set to an emotive cover of the Olive song, You’re Not Alone, recorded by Astraea.
International creative talents included Pulse’s Sam Piling, who directed the TVC, and Dean Rogers, who photographed the stills campaign. And Lloyd’s iconic black horses shared the limelight with some of New Zealand’s most notable talent, including John Callen (The Hobbit), Vicky Haughton (Whale Rider), Peter Elliot (Shortland Street) and Colin Moy (In My Father’s Den).
The ad will run across TV, cinema, digital, social, outdoor and print in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
