Australia has won just three Yellow Pencils at this year’s D&AD Awards, two of them by Howatson+ Company with Rejected Ales for Matilda Bay Original Ale. (Design agency was Brogen Averill.)
Australia’s third Yelow Pencil was won by AKQA Melbourne for Tennis Australia. Action Audio made the tennis series accessible to the blind.
Howatson+ Company’s Rejected Ales won in Experiential Retail and Direct, Direct Mail. It also won a Wood Pencil in Direct.
The other Australian Yellow Pencil went to AKQA Melbourne’s Action Audio for Tennis Australia.
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne won a Graphite Pencil (lead, Betty Wants In) in Direct Innovation and a Wood Pencil in E-Commerce Promotions for CUB, VB Solar Exchange.
DDB Sydney won 1 Wood for VW’s The Ad Break Championship – GTI Hijack in Digital.
BWM Isobar won 1 Wood for Garvan Institute’s Disease Dilemmas in Integrated.
