John Allison’s mum was summoned to the school because the (now) executive creative director of 4Creative had told one of the dinner ladies to fuck off.
Ali Ali’s mum was told the (now) director and founder of Eliphant either had learning difficulties or was a genius.
(Young) Sally Campbell, founder and executive producer of Somesuch, told her mum she didn’t want to be a brownie because she couldn’t be true to god, the Queen and country.
D&AD has travelled throughout the world meeting “the most important people behind some of the best creative work” – top Pencil winners’ mums.
What they know about their children, how they feel about their children and what they think about the D&AD Pencils they’ve won makes for a really entertaining two and a half minute film.
Of course, the film doesn’t exist just for fun. It’s to remind you that “If you have a campaign or piece of creative work that you think deserves a Pencil, enter it into the D&AD Professional Awards by 15 February and see if our judges agree.”
So, do it for your mum…
