Honda Motorcycle has launched its megascooter, the new Forza 750. Honda, the brand of the Power of Dreams, believes its superior to the market leader. To demonstrate the might of Honda’s ultimate GT scooter Forza, DDB Paris could have settled for a simple comparative ad.
It didn’t settle.
Instead, DDB Paris pitted the Forza against a giant, which has no less than 326 million monthly users around the world, and 12.8 million in France. A symbol of instantaneity, speed – a tweet.
So on September 14 at 6:05 pm. The Forza 750 stood on the starting line. Beside it, a tweet stood ready.
The starting signal was poised to activate the 100 metres race from a standing start.
At the same moment as the scooter starts, the tweet was sent.
6.04 seconds later, the Forza crosses the finish line.
It took 6.59 seconds for the tweet to appear on Honda France’s Twitter account.
Le Forza 750 est le plus puissant des scooters. Il va se mesurer a un symbole de vitesse, d’instantanéité, de rapidité, de puissance :

The next morning, at 9:00 am, Honda provided video evidence on Twitter, to spread the news and send few consolation “kisses” to those who needed them.
Because it’s now official: the Forza 750 is the only scooter to be faster than Twitter.
