McDonald’s Australia has awarded the social media portion of its account to DDB Sydney, taking it away from VMLY&R Sydney.
A spokesperson from McDonald’s stated, “After reviewing the support we require from our external partners, we’ve made the decision to consolidate our creative and social agency support; expanding DDB’s remit to include the management of our social channels.
“We enjoyed a productive relationship with VMLY&R and thank them for the work they delivered during their partnership with us.”
Priya Patel, managing director, DDB Sydney stated, “We are thrilled to be expanding our relationship with McDonald’s. It’s a testament to the strength of our 48-year partnership and DDB’s growing social capability. We look forward to this next phase in our story together.”
