There’s not much silly fun in the real world right now. But there’s a lot of it in advertising. The newest madness comes from I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!’s care of agency, Glow.
It’s a comedy sketch series about what goes on in your fridge “when the light goes out” – when you are not looking. And the campaign is set to run on the brand’s very own (fictional) streaming service, NOTFLIX.
The campaign parodies modern day TV series launches, using the upcoming release formula of major players with the teaser providing glimpses of key scenes from the series to prompt viewers to binge the full series on Premiere Day, January 17.
The teaser will run on Instagram (Bio: Eat, Spray, Love), Twitter (43k followers), Facebook (425k followers), and YouTube – where the premiere will even include a Hollywood-worthy Bread Carpet. A series of GIFs will feature teaser content across platforms as well as relatable one-liners, best reactionary GIFS, and a GIPHY sticker pack.

The typical TV streaming network spoof will also include a copy of Netflix’s Are You Still Watching? feature and recommending a “watch along” snack pack that drives viewers to a I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! recipe landing page.
Movie posters will highlight characters “recycled” from other TV worlds, such as Spread Lasso (Ted Lasso), or The Spraytrix (The Matrix).
