Deloitte Digital global head, Andy Main, is moving to Ogilvy, where he has been chosen to replace John Seifert as global chief executive officer. Seifert announced his plan to step down in April this year.
Main has been Deloitte Digital global head since 2018 and head of Deloitte Digital US from 2014. Seifert has been global chief executive officer of Ogilvy for nearly five years and has been with the agency for forty-one.
Main joined Deloitte Consulting in 1999 as partner – hi-tech practice. He became customer solutions leader in 2013. He will join Ogilvy officially in July and will work with Seifert on the transition for the remainder of the year.
“Ogilvy is a name synonymous with creative and strategic excellence, and I am honoured to become the company’s next CEO,” he said in a statement. “We have a great opportunity to help clients deliver sustainable growth by using Ogilvy’s creative genius to transform not only brands but entire businesses.
“We must also be a company with a clear culture of belonging where talented people from underrepresented groups are championed and supported throughout their careers and given the chance to reach the very highest levels of the organisation.”
