It’s a spy action drama week. Hot on the heels of Apple’s Mission impossible September keynote promo comes this VW ad by Ogilvy MENA, this time without the overt Mission Impossible references, but with all the spy drama requirements (including magnificent production values) for an intensely watchable ad – including the wonderful, memorable twist.
Apple’s was an anti-climactic ending that cut across the drama. Ogilvy’s is that the hero spy’s support team – it’s his family.
The ad is for VW’s Teramont, the brand’s first seven-seat SUV to be launched in the region.
