In September last year, One Direction created hysteria for something they’d never done before – ending. The boy band is taking an “indefinite hiatus” this year.
The song, End of the Day, was released in November.
It was not to be One Direction’s last release.
Fulwell73 and ENVY Advertising, who have collaborated in many One Direction promos and commercials, including You & I, Night Changes and Drag Me Down, have created the band’s finale, History.
History combines live performances and archive footage to become the band’s formal farewell.
ENVY’s producer, James Trimming, commented, “What a journey! It’s been absolutely brilliant working with Ben, Gabe, Carly and Lou across the One Direction promos and a spattering of their kooky ads, like Between Us and Honda Civic. Creatively and structurally, Fulwell73 is always open to suggestions, which is a rare treat in this industry and has contributed to some very exciting collaborations between us. Cheers to the boys; a huge thank you to Fulwell73 for another big year; and here’s to 2016!”
Carly Shackleton, Producer at Fulwell73, added, “Once again, it’s been an absolute pleasure to work with James and the ENVY team on the One Direction History promo. Their dedication and passion for this, and all the One Direction projects we have worked on with them, make production a joy.”
