On July 13, Andy from Ohio accidentally tweeted a complaint about his pants to creative agency, Rothco, in Dublin, rather than the US clothing manufacturer he’d intended to contact.
Rothco feels very strongly about ill-fitting pants…OK, the agency saw it as a wonderful opportunity to promote itself by doing what it does best. Ut created a campaign for Andy.
Within a day of receiving the tweet from Andy, Rothco had organised a radio campaign to run on his local radio station in Ohio, composed a charity song and made a music video.
A few nights later, Rothco took over a billboard in his local town centre.
And now there’s a website: pants4andy.com
