Ryan Reynolds is beginning to look as though he should be a top ranking ad agency creative. Except he isn’t an ad agency creative. He doesn’t work in an agency. He is, though, coming up with great ad ideas. Time and time again.
This time, Reynolds has teamed up with another non-ad agency creative, Hugh Jackman, and the two of them have come up with a brilliant idea. It draws on popular culture in a new way (the mock online feud between them that has been running since X Men: Wolverine, it advertises two brands simultaneously (Reynolds’ Aviation Gin and Jackman’s Laughing Man Coffee) and weaves an epic production into a low budget one (that’s hilarious if you’re an ad creative).
The campaign began with Reynold’s Twitter announcement that the Jackman-Reynolds feud had ended.

In the ad that follows, it appears that Jackman didn’t think the tweet was real.
The two-minute film was co-written by Jackman, Reynolds and George Dewey, who has co-written Reynolds’ other three campaigns for Aviation Gin. It was produced by Escape Velocity Content and is running on YouTube and social media.
