BBDO Worldwide has been named Network of the Year at Spikes Asia 2019.
Contributing to its Of the Year award were wins by BBDO Auckland, BBDO Pakistan, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, Clemenger BBDO Sydney, BBDO Bangkok and BBDO India.
Dentsu was #2. TBWA Worldwide was #3.
Colenso BBDO Auckland was named Asia Pacific Agency of the Year. Dentsu Inc Tokyo was #2. BBDO Pakistan was #3.
Special Group Sydney was named Independent Agency of the Year. Loong Beijing was #2. GOVT Singapore was #3.
The Spikes Palm Award for the most awarded production company was won by Tohokushinsha Film Corporation Tokyo. Revolver/Will O’Rourke Australia was #2. Creator Global Australia was #3.
MediaCom was named Media Network of the Year. Mindshare was #2. PHD Worldwide was #3.
The Grand Prix for Good was won by BBDO Pakistan’s Stop Dowrymongering for UN Women.
In the campaign, 500 individual posters were designed using real henna ink on an upheld defiant palm. The center of each palm stated, Stop Dowrymongering, in Urdu. Henna body decoration is a popular tattoo-like Pakistani practice which is frequently used by women during celebratory times, such as weddings.
The Spikes Asia Advertiser of the Year was awarded to Nike.
