On September 24 2017, classic and vintage style motorcycles filled streets around the world as The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride paraded its way through 581 cities.
Almost 94,000 dapper men and women in 92 countries rode to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men’s mental health on behalf of the Movember Foundation.
This year, The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride has already raised US$4.68m. Its goal is to raise US$5m goal and fundraising remains open until October 31.
The work of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is not only limited to the one day occasion. Riders raised funds and awareness for 8 weeks prior to the event, including a wildly successful DGR x The Rake x Rubinacci Charity Auction, which took place in Milan, and raised $51.5K USD.
Prizes have been offered to reward fundraisers, and some are still on offer for all fundraisers – brand new Triumph motorcycles, Zenith watches and Hedon helmets, for example.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride hopes to reach its goal of US$5m for prostate cancer and mental health programs on behalf of the Movember Foundation. Highest fundraiser competitions and the Gentlefolk Competition are open until 11:59pm October 8 AEST, and all fundraising concludes October 31.
