The Humblebrag communications and thought leadership agency was launched in Amsterdam three years ago by an ex-Aussie and an ex-Kiwi to give creativity the support it needs to guide the world to change. The world needed to change. It still does need to change. The Humblebrag’s work has been and continues to be important.
To facilitate its mission, the agency has launched its online training academy, assisting existing and future leaders to stand up, and speak out for positive change. The academy was developed by The Humblebrag’s ex-Kiwi co-founder, Lucy von Sturmer, who has returned home to New Zealand after living in The Netherlands for ten years. She will now work globally and has appointed Dutch-Italian PR specialist, Stella van Schaick, as PR manager in Amsterdam to lead the European operations. Van Schaick is also co-founder of the Amsterdam chapter of HER Network.
“Our mission is to rouse, agitate and support emerging and existing leaders to take a more active stand on social, cultural and environmental issues,” von Sturmer explained. “Through our online courses, we are able to work with more activists, agitators and corporate mavericks anywhere in the world and to support them to raise their voice. This is quite a big innovation for a small consultancy; boiling down our strategy used for companies and brands to help more individuals get the recognition they deserve.”
The Humblebrag courses are designed to support future and existing change-makers everywhere to position and amplify their voice for good. Explore a free preview of the course here.
Van Schaick added, “It’s an exciting time, and opportunity, to bring social purpose into the workplace, both for our clients, but also for me personally. The mix of working with tech, innovation, and start-ups, paired with a strong sense of social justice, sustainability, and womxn empowerment brings both my personal and professional background together into one role.”
Meanwhile, The Humblebrag has just won two new accounts – building the reputation of global non-profit 5, a media impact foundation focussed on funding and supporting sustainability initiatives, and leading the rebrand of a new global carbon accounting initiative led by certification body SustainCERT.
