A two-and-a-half minute ad you want to watch again and again? Yes, it’s possible. Director, Kiran Koshy and US agency, Tombras, have given 2.20 minutes of completely bonkers musical video fun to US, chicken chain, Zaxby’s. Zaxby’s is not the most famous fried chicken chain (although it has more than 900 locations in 17 states in the US). Its new campaign, though, is a fame-maker.

The hero film is a wildly quirky country song about the Guy on a Buffalo Wing, featuring a lone cowboy riding a buffalo wing (yes, a deep-fried piece chicken), a talking bobcat, squirrel, fox and Hedgehog. As well as making Zaxby’s very cool, it introduces the chain’s new Buffalo Garlic Blaze sauce.
Watch the film:
“With launching the new Buffalo Garlic Blaze sauce, we saw an opportunity to create a campaign that is a little unexpected while still staying true to Zaxby’s brand,” stated Dooley Tombras, president at Tombras. “Guy on a Buffalo Wing is impossible to look away from, the kind of campaign that will make diners wonder what they’re missing and have to try it for themselves.”

The song was composed by the band, Jomo & The Possum Posse. The campaign made its debut during the College Football Playoff national championship game broadcast on Monday Janaury 10 and will run during the Big Game on February 13.
Zaxby’s teased its new sauce with a handful of trailers ahead of the CFP national championship game, leaving its fans guessing who is behind the Guy on a Buffalo Wing.
