Wieden + Kennedy has won the Visa global creative pitch that was initiated in July this year. Publicis Groupe has won the media component.
W+K will now lead creative strategy and major initiatives for the brand. Wieden + Kennedy replaces BBDO, which had run global creative for Visa since 2012. Publicis agency, Saatchi & Saatchi, had held the creative account in Europe since 2015. Publicis Groupe will create a holding company-led team to handle media and production, as well as support for hyperlocal work globally.
This will be the second time that W+K and Visa work together on creative. Visa appointed W+K as its creative agency in 2007.
