Irish freelance copywriter, Luke O’Reilly, has created a twitter-storm with his digital Guinness poster encouraging people to stay at home. The ad is also receiving abundant praise on LinkedIn and Reddit.
Dunno. Saw it in my feed and it restored my faith in advertising.

At first Guinness got all the credit but the brand had nothing to do with the ad.
Eventually, O’Reilly was outed as the creator.
In fact, the ad was a response to a challenge by One Minute Briefs. This brief was to create pub posters that discourage pub outings. The project’s aim was to promote The Staying Inn, a virtual pub founded by British creatives, Olivia Downing and Sophie Stevens, to encourage people to stay under quarantine by giving them a pub experience – well, the sights and sounds of a pub on their phone – at home and following its posts on Instagram.
