Family’s fight. The family black sheep tortures everyone, him- or herself mostly. One member doesn’t talk to another member… Family is just little version of how the world is wired.
The world needs gooey family Christmas stories. The magic of Christmas is its power to make human connection, kindness and joy matter, however briefly. Brands are rewarded by gooey Christmas stories. No matter how many clever ideas they produce through the year, the bond of sharing human connection, kindness and joy is a powerful ally.

BAR Ogilvy has given Portuguese energy company, Galp, that power, with a touching film in which the energy that powers homes also fuels memories, traditions, and connections. The film and its message, The energy of Christmas never goes out, are underscored by an emotive cover of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. It was directed by João Nuno Pinto and produced by Garage.
Filipa Lopes Ribeiro, Galp global head of brand strategy, commented, “This campaign represents an important milestone in Galp’s history because it clearly expresses our commitment to the Portuguese people: being present in all the moments that truly matter. At Christmas, emotions and universal values such as closeness, optimism, and purpose stand out, the very values that guide the way we operate. We believe that energy goes far beyond electricity and fuels: true energy lies in people, in what moves us and brings us together. This is the essence of our brand and the central message of this campaign.”

Miguel Ralha, CEO of BAR Ogilvy, added, “The power of this campaign lies in a truly universal insight. We all know what it feels like to see that one chair left empty at the Christmas table. But it’s just as important to remember that this energy renews itself, it lives on in the stories we carry and in the new family members who join us. It never goes out”.
This full campaign is running across television, radio, out-of-home (OOH), cinema, digital, social media, in Portugal as well as the Galp service station network in Portugal. strengthening the brand’s presence among the Portuguese people with a message of closeness and trust.
The campaign was created by Bar Ogilvy, directed by João Nuno Pinto and produced by Garage.
