Biborg has imagined, produced and realised a live performance with Hugo Vigliotti, a dancer from the Ballet de l’Opéra National, that is both real and virtual, in collaboration with Epic Games and Movella Xsens. The first dance performance under Unreal 5 in real time is performed on a hybrid Metaballet stage.
The show was part of the Motion Motion festival. The “gamified metaballet” evolves in real time according to the dancer’s movements, like a video game designed specifically for Performing Arts.

“We are witnessing the birth of a new form of entertainment thanks to the latest innovations in video games. It is now possible to completely redefine live art and invite artists and spectators to directly interact with the live performance landscape. In a few years, these experiences will be everywhere,” stated Ismaël El Hakim, chief creative officer of leading independent gaming marketing services agency, Biborg.
True to its vision and its desire to bring gaming off the beaten track and among all communities, the agency has demonstrated that a new form of live performance is possible. The live performance integrates the characteristics that are appreciated in the world of video games – freedom of action and interaction with the visual and sound environments, multiplayer aspect, interactivity between the content and the audience in real time, challenges with multiple possible outcomes, interactive streaming with an online audience …
The campaign aims to show that Biborg can now offer its clients an infinite number of innovative possibilities mixing real performances with the Metaverse, with a gaming and event approach.
