A dating app and a cosmetic company is a collab idea that’s a natural. It had just never been done before. But Tinder and Elf Beauty have got together with a limited-edition product collection, Put Your Elf Out There, and a very fun campaign, Face the First Date, designed to solve first-date nerves.
The campaign is built on a recent Censuswide study that revealed 35% of singles view first dates as the perfect excuse to experiment with new makeup looks.
“Elf and Tinder are kindred spirits,” said Kory Marchisotto, Elf’s chief marketing officer. “Our shared commitment to self-expression and empowerment is reflected in this collaboration, drawing inspiration from our communities and translating it into action with courage and creativity. We know that 80% of singles believe their get-ready routine impacts their confidence on a first date, so we’re thrilled to offer products that help them feel like their most empowered selves.”
