Black humour turns up from time to time in advertising. It tends to cause a stir.
Creating a stir is a hallmark of both Burger King and Buzzman’s advertising. So a French Burger King ad about a prisoner’s last meal shouldn’t be surprising.
Except that Buzzman amped up the idea of Burger King desire in a twist in its plot. The guard opts to swap places with the condemned man so that he can have the burger.
It’s a commercial no one is likely to forget. Nor will they miss the message.
By the way, France abolished the death penalty in 1981.
