There’s a debt crisis throughout the world, Thailand is not immune. Its household debt is sky-high at 90.6% of GDP. Thai Government Savings Bank wants to trigger responsible spending to boost savings among the public.
“Government”. “Savings Bank”. You’re expecting a staid, didactic campaign, aren’t you? Note that it’s a Thai ad. Get ready for two-minutes of absolutely mad humour by SCRUM x ADK Thai.
The challenge for SCRUM x ADK Thai was that saving sounds monotonous and boring, especially versus spending on the latest trends. The agency’s unignorable, maybe even “watch again and again” commercial aims to combat the idea that saving is deprivation. It gives saving a mighty nudge in the right direction to spark daily saving money habits by making smart spending choices – spend for benefits, spending for investment and allocating at least 10-30% of whatever you spend for saving.
The campaign underlines the Government Savings Bank’s aim to “be a leader in promoting savings for sustainable country development to enhance happiness and future security for the people.”
