Possibly the most un-financial financial commercial ever – and that’s a great thing for gaining attention. The ad by 72andSunny New York features a monkey (not in the flippant way the partners did in 2000, creating the most polarising Super Bowl ad of that year).
This time the well-known tourist agony of a thieving monkey becomes the trigger for some mesmerising parkour action as stunt performer, Ashton Moio (you watched his physical prowess in The Hunger Games), becomes the hero that saves a wedding ring.

A narrator ties the action into the message that E*Trade is better now that it’s operating with Morgan Stanley, tying banking and investing together.
The commercial was directed by Nathan Price and produced by Park Pictures, with Jackson Spidell (you saw his work in John Wick), overseeing the stunts.
