Micah Walker has left 72andSunny just eight months after he took up the role of executive creative director.
Walker returned to Australia last year after four and a half years as a creative director at Wieden + Kennedy Portland, on accounts such as Samsung, Dodge Chrysler, Booking.com and TurboTax.
72andSunny stated, “72andSunny Sydney and Micah Walker have mutually agreed to part ways. We wish Micah all the best in the future and thank him for his creative contributions while he was with us.”
Walker is most well known for his work at The Monkeys, which he joined as creative partner in January 2012 and left two years later for W+K. He had been executive creative director of Mojo in Sydney for nearly four years prior to that.
Walker has been an enthusiastic ex-pat, working at Fallon in London as creative director and partner from 2003 to 2007, Leo Burnett Warsaw as associate director from 1991 to 2001 and regional associate creative director at Leo Burnett Hong Kong from 1998 to 1999.
