80 senior executives across the Australian advertising industry will be spending the night in prison this June, to raise awareness and funds to break the cycle of youth incarceration.
The ‘inmates’ are taking part in UnLtd’s Adland Bail Out, a unique experience that brings participants face-to-face with the harsh realities of youth incarceration.
The first confirmed ‘inmates’ include Josh Faulks, CEO of AANA; Willie Pang, country manager at Amazon; Katie Finney, national television sales director at Seven; Amy Bradshaw, GM of TikTok; Nick Brignell, GM of WPP Media Solutions; Jo Barton, director of sales at Nine; Jason Tonelli, CEO of Zenith Australia; Matt Turl, CEO of Spark Foundry; Ryan Ferguson, MD of Snap Inc..
On June 4, they will hand over their belongings and phones, put on their prison uniforms, and be locked inside the cells of Yasmar Detention Centre. They will be fingerprinted, security checked and interrogated before taking part in challenging workshops that reveal the realities of life behind bars for young people. After some prison food, the ‘inmates’ will spend the night on the cold, hard floors of their cells, experiencing firsthand the conditions too many young people face.

It takes courage to step into this role – and connections and grit to raise the funds to be released. Each inmate must secure AU$1,500 in ‘bail’, with all proceeds going directly to UnLtd’s work campaigning to break the vicious cycle of youth incarceration.
Adding another layer to the experience, this year’s event welcomes back former participants, now stepping into the role of ‘guards’ to maintain order inside the facility. 2026 guards include Arvind Hickman, Chris Freel, Chris Murphy, Greg ‘Sparrow’ Graham, Kathryn Furnari, Matthew Coote, Nathan Jackson, Nicole Bence, Pia Coyle, Scott Laird, Sev Celik, and Ricky Chanana.
