Ad Stars Awards has opened for entries by agencies, creatives, production companies, students and advertising enthusiasts from all over the world.
And remember that entry into Ad Stars is free.
All you have to do is get your entry in before June 15.
Judging by last year’s submissions, Ad Stars is expecting more than 20,000 entries in 2017, from over 70 countries. It is the biggest advertising awards show in Asia and the only festival with a US$10,000 cash prize for Grand Prix of the Year winners.
“One of the big differences at Ad Stars is its openness. We welcome entries 365 days a year, online and offline, and it is free to enter Ad Stars. These are the two secrets to the festival’s growth. We continue to evolve, and our 10th anniversary program will be our biggest and bravest yet,” stated Eui Ja Lee, co-chair of the Ad Stars Executive Committee
Ad Stars was begun in 2008, so this year will be its 10th anniversary in Busan, South Korea, from August 24 – 26.
It will commemorate its anniversary with the theme, Creativity +-x÷Technology, and five separate conferences and events at Bexco (Busan Exhibition and Conference Centre).
Ad Stars has also has partnered with AFAA (Asian Federation of Advertising Associations), and will host the AFAA Forum as part of this year’s festival. The AFAA forum will delve into Asian advertising industry trends and issues and bring AdAsia and DigiAsia – two biannual AFAA events – to South Korea. During Ad Stars 2017, delegates from the AFAA will meet to discuss the future development strategy of the Asian advertising industry.
The Ad Stars 10th anniversary program will also explore trends in advertising and digital marketing related to the fourth industrial revolution, which has become a hot topic globally over the past year. And in Bexco’s public exhibition area, Ad Stars will celebrate the history of the festival over the past decade.
Ad Stars has also unveiled a new identity – a bright, colourful star, which represents the vibrancy of the global creative and technology sectors, and was designed by award-winning design agency Oricom in Seoul.
