The One Club for Creativity has chosen 180 creatives from 36 countries to judge the ADC 100th Annual Awards. Five come from Australia and New Zealand:
- Zoe Ikin, design director, Alt Group, Auckland (Brand/Communication Design)
- Soren Luckins, CD, Büro North, Melbourne (Experiential Design)
- Nicola Mansfield, managing director, Interbrand Australia, Sydney (Experiential Design)
- Paul Middleditch, director, Merman, New York/Los Angeles/London, and PLAZA, Sydney (Motion/Film/Gaming Craft, chair)
- Debbie Spence, head of brand, Frost* collective, Sydney (Brand/Communication Design)
The jury chairs for the awards’ ten disciplines were announced last month:
“For the past century, the ADC Cube has been awarded for the world’s best work based on excellence in craft, design and innovation,” stated Kevin Swanepoel, chief executive officer, The One Club for Creativity. “This strong tradition continues today in the hands of this year’s jury members, who are recognised creative leaders in their fields.”
The awards are open for entry now, with fees increasing after each deadline period. Regular deadline is March 12, 2021, with extended deadline March 19, 2021 and final deadline March 26, 2021. All judging will take place online. No physical entries will be accepted this year, eliminating shipping costs for entrants.
A special tiered pricing structure makes it easier for smaller agencies, studios and freelancers to participate in the ADC 100th Annual Awards. Larger agencies and brands pay the standard entry fee; smaller shops get a discount on entries (amount varies by discipline) and freelance creatives and one-person shops are eligible for an even greater reduction in their entry fee.
The One Club will partner with creative community, Working Not Working, on the ADC Freelancer of the Yearaward and content collaboration for a second year.
New this year are the ADC In-House Design discipline and reduced pricing for personal/unpublished work in Fashion Design, Motion/Film/Gaming Craft, Photography, Illustration and Typography.
