“15 years ago today, I took a leap of faith and decided to believe in myself and create my own advertising and PR agency, and I have never looked back. Many around me thought I was crazy for taking the risk, after all why would you want to leave NYC to come back home, but I thought it was a bigger risk not to follow your dreams and act on what you want in life.”
Adrian Falk was just 24 when he decided to follow his dream. And there was little of what anyone would want in life at its beginning. Armed with just self-belief and the Yellow Pages, Falk started his business by cold calling clients. Believe Advertising, he knew first hand, was the name his agency had to have.
Believe Advertising has just turned 15. And in that time, the agency has worked with Novak Djokovic on SEIKO and Head Tennis and launched Furla in Australia. Ten years ago, it launched ASM Liquor’s, Vodkao – and the brand, now the third best-selling vodka in Australia, is still a client today. Believe also turned the unknown spirit, Vantage – a uniquely Aussie competitor to far better known gins and vodkas blended with lemon myrtle, Tasmanian mountain pepper and Australian Mandarin – into an international award winner. Vantage won the 2017 San Francisco World Spirit’s Award.
So last Friday night, Believe celebrated its 15th birthday in the style you’d expect of an agency whose job it is to make people and brands sparkle – with The Bachelor & Bachelorette Babes and Blokes, Tim Dormer and new fiancé, Ash Toweel, TV personality Mike Goldman, model, mother to four, author and surrogate to twins, Rosie Luik and Christian Wilkins & Andrew Kelly – at the Flamingo Lounge.

The essential conversation starter was a 1.5 metre doughnut wall by Dr Doughnut with the numbers, 1 and 5 spelled out in doughnuts. The essential cocktails were Vantage’s Cosmopolitans and Moscow Mules. And an unexpected extra was Falk’s promise that Believe would use its power of PR for good, making a difference to a variety of its worthy causes that are in desperate need of attention.

“Through the power of PR I have learnt that I can make a difference highlighting to the world worthy causes that need attention,” Falk stated.
“From helping a young lady with cancer to fundraise for a charity close to her heart, to supporting a Fijian village that I had the pleasure of visiting on a recent trip, to highlighting the goodwill of The Shepherd Centre – helping young kids with hearing loss develop spoken language, my aim is to leave this world a better place than when I found it.”
