Akcelo has been appointed global agency of record for London-based kids’ audio company, Yoto, following a competitive pitch process. Akcelo work with Yoto’s leadership team to support the brand across its key global markets, including the UK, US, Canada, France and Australia, its work covering global brand strategy, creative platform development and integrated campaign execution, as Yoto enters a significant phase of growth and evolution.
Aden Hepburn, CEO and Founder of Akcelo, stated, “From the outset, it was clear that Yoto wasn’t just looking for an agency, they were seeking a partner that thinks like they do, one that understands their customers inside out and can help build a distinctive, emotionally resonant creative platform to support the next stage of growth. Akcelo’s expertise at the intersection of entertainment and technology, alongside its work with global brands, made it a natural fit for the opportunity and our team couldn’t be prouder.”
Yoto, founded in 2017, has pioneered positive, screen-free audio technology for children through its card-based audio players, growing a library of world-class audio titles from some of the biggest names in kids’ publishing, entertainment and music and a rapidly expanding slate of Yoto Originals content produced in-house. The business now employs more than 200 people and sells into 148 countries worldwide.
With the US now its largest market and continued expansion across Europe and APAC, Yoto is aiming to scale its brand while preserving its distinctive personality and emotional connection with families.
Sarah Martin, VP growth at Yoto, stated, “As we continue to grow at pace, we were looking for a partner who truly understands our ambition and our audience. Akcelo demonstrated not only strategic strength, but a genuine appreciation for what makes Yoto special. We’re excited to work together to shape the next chapter of the brand globally.”
The partnership is effective immediately. Initial work already underway is being handled by the newly formed London office of Akcelo, which was launched in May.
