Simone Gupta has left SuperMassive, the indie agency she co-founded, with this message, “Following three successful years at Supermassive, I’ve decided it’s time to focus on my next chapter. I’m so so proud of what we’ve built and achieved, and super grateful to the amazing team, our wonderful clients, our partners and collaborators, and to Laura and Jon. Thanks for the trust, hard work, and support along the way.”
Co-founders, Jon Austin and Laura Aldington, added, “After three fantastic years helping us build Supermassive, Sim has made the decision to depart the agency and head into a new chapter. We’re so grateful to her for the incredible rollercoaster we’ve all shared. While we’ve got some exciting plans for the future of the business which we’ll share soon, we want to make today a moment to focus on thanking Sim for everything, sending her Supermassive hugs, and wishing her every success in her next adventure.”
Gupta co-founded SuperMassive in June 2023, after two-and-a-half years as CEO Havas Group PR, One Green Bean, Havas Red & Organic, and CEO of One Green Bean for an extra year, 2020-21. Before One Green Bean, she had been managing director of Mango Communications (DDB Group Australia).
In a career of more than twenty years, she has advised global brands, ASX listed companies, CEOs and leadership teams across Australia, UK, EMEA and USA, with recent awards including a Grand Prix and Indie AOTY at Spikes Asia and a PR Silver and Titanium shortlist at Cannes Lions.
She also led the communications and government engagement strategy for 36 Months, the social change initiative pioneered by Michael Wipfli and Rob Galluzzo, that helped drive Australia’s world-first legislation raising the minimum social media age from 13 to 16. The campaign was recognised at Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia and D&AD for its impact and effectiveness and has influenced governments around the world.
She is a member of the founding committee of the Global Women in PR Australian chapter and previously served as chairman of UK charity, One Woman at a Time.
