ATime&Place didn’t avoid using car advertising’s favourite trope – the long and winding road. Instead, it went all out on the device for Suzuki’s Special Edition Jimny – adding topical relevance and ferociously funny creative.
The third batch of Pentagon files on UFO sightings has just been released, with more footage, but few hard facts. So, Suzuki has waded in to clarify that life is, in fact, out there.
After weeks of online mystery surrounding the release of a new Special Edition Jimny, sparked by blurry images and video released, plus continued denial from Suzuki Australia, Suzuki has finally provided full disclosure with this new footage, with more to come.
Daniel Sammut, national marketing manager, Suzuki Automotive, commented, “This campaign couldn’t be more timely. At the exact moment this new Pentagon footage has everyone asking ‘Is life out there?’, the specced up, rugged Rhino is ready with the answer, “Yes. If you’re in a Jimny.”
Matt Lawson, chief creative officer, ATime&Place, added, “We’re always looking for ways for our clients to steal the moment, a Zeitheist, if you will, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity talk about the fun you can have when you get out there in the incredibly capable new Jimny Rhino.”
The campaign is running across online, outdoor, POS, eDM and socials.
