The winners for each of the 42nd AWARD Awards Special categories have been announced.
Individual Agency of the Year was won by CHE Proximity. CHE Proximity’s Ashley Wilding & Daniel Davison also won Creative or Team of the Year
The Emerging Creative or Team of the Year was awarded to DDB Sydney’s Sam Raftl and Tom Lawrence.
The Director of the Year award went to Revolver’s Steve Rogers
Emerging Director of the Year was won by Courtney Brookes from Eight.
A prize for Emerging Indigenous Creative Talent was also awarded. DDB’s Nic Molyneux taking home the award.
AWARD also announced its Grand Award winners:
- Special Group New Zealand & Special Group Australia won the APG Grand Award for Good Morning World.
- Saatchi & Saatchi Australia won the Grand Award for Donation Dollar.

This is the first time AWARD has included entry-based special awards, which were judged on the entrant’s body of work by specialist juries instead of being awarded on a points-based system. AWARD will offer these awards again in this year’s call for entries, with the 43rd AWARD Awards call for entries now open.
Jonathan Kneebone, AWARD Committee member, was instrumental in implementing the new categories. He commented, “Congratulations to all the Special Award winners.
