Special Group Sydney creative director, Jack Nunn has joined Mandie van der Merwe, executive creative director, M&C Saatchi Sydney, as the new national and NSW School co-heads for 2020.

AWARD chair, Cam Blackley, stated, “Jack is one of those brilliant ‘ideas people’, whose creative savvy has seen him win multiple local and international awards. It’s fantastic to have him on board to work alongside Mandie and the other AWARD School Heads.”

Blackley also applauded outgoing National and NSW AWARD School co-head, Josie Burns, “Josie really worked incredibly hard to raise the bar for AWARD School and brought great enthusiasm and skill to the role – we wish her well for her overseas adventure.”

Nunn joined Special Group Sydney as the agency’s first creative hire in 2015. He had previously worked at M&C Saatchi Sydney, M&C Saatchi Melbourne and Havas Sydney and is a strong believer in ideas that live outside of paid media, striving to create campaigns that make the news and newsfeeds alike. His work has been awarded at Cannes, D&AD, AWARD, SXSW and beyond. In 2018, he was selected to attend the AWARD Creative Leadership course and he is on the Digital jury for AWARD 2020.

Nunn commented, “To be involved with AWARD School in any capacity is a massive, massive honour. I’m stoked to be taking over from Josie, who has done an incredible job in the role. I love ideas and creativity. Being able to help other people bring theirs into the world is a real privilege.”
