BMF’s new ECD finessed his abilities at the best agency a new BMF ECD could. BMF.
The agency has promoted creative director, Alex Derwin, to lead the agency’s creative output, following the departure of Cam Blackley.
Derwin is the creative director behind Aldi’s run of spectacular creative work. He has led the Aldi creative account since joining BMF from Clemenger Melbourne in 2015, helping it become one of the most creative accounts in the country. BMF’s work for Aldi has amassed more than 76 creative and effectiveness awards, including One Show, AWARD Award, LIA, Spikes, Sirens and Effies.
Derwin has also played a key role in the agency’s new business success, winning TAL, Dulux, Agoda and Transport NSW and launching Australia’s largest life insurer, TAL, as a consumer facing brand.
He has now clocked up twenty years experience in the UK, the US and Australia, and created award-winning work for Nike, Nestlé, Oak Milk, Toyota, The Star, St Vincent de Paul and The Observer newspaper.
BMF managing director, Steve McArdle, commented, “Alex has been the Creative Director behind a huge amount of the BMF work that’s dominated the effectiveness awards and been creatively celebrated over the last three years. for the ECD job.”
