Another weird collab. Boost Mobile and Liquid Death are taking on the US wireless industry together, with a Halloween-ish commercial featuring Cellphone Bill, the new character created by Liquid Death and played by Tony Cavalero. Cellphone Bill is a psycho luring unsuspecting victims and holding them captive with wireless contracts. He personifies the real horror of big telcos – high-priced wireless service with hidden fees, confusing contracts and routine price hikes.
Boost Mobile’s no contract plans stand against the tyranny of the others. And Liquid Death’s role? “Liquid Death stands out in its industry with unique packaging, a sustainability mission and unmistakable, entertainment-first marketing.” The two brands also see themselves as disruptors. The brand’s internal production company, Death Machine, also produced the Cellphone Bill campaign.
