AMV BBDO has been named Agency of the Festival at Cannes Lions with 5 Grands Prix, 5 Gold Lions, 9 Silver Lions and 8 Bronze Lions. Four of its Grands Prix were for the #wombstories campaign for Ressity brands, Bodyform/Libresse, that won the top prizes in Film, Film Craft, Titanium and Health & Wellness. AMV BBDO also won the Lions Health United Nations Foundation Grand Prix for Good for The Central Office of Public Interest’s (COPI) addresspollution.org campaign.

Interpublic’s FCB was named Network of the Festival, a first for the network in its 148-year history. Its wins included Healthcare Network of the Year for FCB Health Network, Healthcare Agency of the Year for AREA 23, an FCB Health Network company, with 2 Titanium wins, 5 Grand Prix. In total, FCB accumulated 80 Lions, consisting of 2 Titanium, 5 Grands Prix, 15 Gold, 26 Silver and 32 Bronze.
“FCB’s historic showing this year can be attributed to the creative leaders who comprise our global network,” stated FCB worldwide chief executive officer, Carter Murray. “It’s also a testament to Global Chief Creative Officer Susan Credle’s creative vision.”
FCB Chicago’s Boards of Change for City of Chicago and FCB Chicago/FCB New York’s Contract for Change for AB InBev won the two Titanium Lions. Boards of Change won 14 Lions total, including a Grand Prix. Contract for Change won 9 significant wins during the Festival, including a Grand Prix. Major highlights across the network include FCB Chicago placing third for Agency of the Year and notching 24 total wins, FCB New York ending the week with 18 wins, FCB Canada with 7, FCB Inferno with 6, FCB Interface with 7 and AREA 23, an FCB Health Network company, with 11 Lions, including two amazing Grands Prix.
WPP was named Holding Company of the Festival for the first time since 2017. Omnicom won the award in 2018 and 2019 (and there was no festival in 2020). WPP agencies, led by Ogilvy, collected a total of 190 Lions, including a Titanium Lion, 12 Grands Prix, 28 Gold, 57 Silver and 92 Bronze, with winners representing 38 different countries.

In 2019, Microsoft won 11 Lions, with McCann New York’s Changing the Game for the Xbox Adaptive Controller winning 5, including a Grand Prix in Brand Experience & Activation as well as a Titanium Lion.
