Caviar has signed Hans Emanuel for US commercial and music video representation, bringing his keen eye for cinematic storytelling into its fold. Emanuel’s work is grounded in his strong background in both design and editing and his first short film was premiered at the Berlinale film Festival. His first commercial won a Bronze Cannes Lion, several gold Clios, and a prize at the Cristal Festival, kickstarting his advertising career. Born and raised in Santa Monica, California, to a Mexican-German mother, he grew up with a culturally diversified upbringing that carried through his education interests.
Emanuel is one of those uncommon directors who moves easily across genres. He built his name first in fashion and beauty filmmaking, and has since conquered the challenges of beauty, automotive, dance, and visual effects-heavy projects, directing commercials for KIA, Nivea, Nissan, L’Oreal, BMW and more. His love for storytelling as well as his versatility open him up to opportunities in areas such as comedy, that he blends seamlessly for brands like Lego and aligns with Caviar’s Academy Award-winning acumen toward comedic, yet complex, storytelling work for brands.
Caviar executive producer, Salim El Arja, commented, “Hans has a unique ability to blend stunning visuals with heart and humor, rooted in his confidence as a craftsman. This allows him to focus on drawing exceptional performances from actors, including celebrities, and crafting films that are not only visually striking but also deeply engaging and often hilariously comedic. His sensibilities align perfectly with Caviar’s vision, and we’re excited to collaborate with him on work that pushes creative boundaries.”
Emanuel added, “Caviar is a renowned name, certainly since I began my career. They have a solid reputation for quality work, and I’ve always respected them as a company. Life is about where destiny makes you flow with the people you need; thanks to a series of projects, I was introduced to Florence Jacob with Caviar Paris first, and the rest is history. I feel they can support my career growth with their comedic expertise and filmmaking prowess.”
