Gary McCreadie has moved again. This time, he is leaving Lucky Generals after just six months. He joined Lucky Generals in March this year as deputy executive creative director from Larchmont in New Zealand where had been working as a director after joining Special Group New Zealand at the end of 2019 followed by an executive creative director role at Hello in New Zealand from May 2020 to October 2021. He was executive creative director at 303 MullenLowe in Sydney for 14 months beginning in May 2018, and co-founder of Ugly, where he stayed for one year.
McCreadie 9above right) came to Sydney in September 2014 to join Whybin\TBWA from BBH London.
Meanwhile, Clemenger BBDO Australia CCO, Jim Curtis (above left), has left Australia for family reasons and become EVP, global creative director at McCann New York.
Curtis joined Clemenger BBDO in June 2020 from Droga5 New York, where he had spent four and a half years as creative director. He was promoted from executive creative director at Clemenger to national chief creative officer in July last year. Prior to Droga5, he had worked at BMF, DDB Sydney and The Leap Agency.
At Clemenger he oversaw work that included VB’s Solar Exchange, that won three D&AD Pencils and Bronze at Cannes Lions in 2021, the FightMND campaign, and the recent campaigns for Carlton Dry and Carlton Draught. And at Droga5 he was responsible for several mini-series for Mailchimp, a documentary with Gotham Chopra for Under Armour, and the famous Crocodile Dundee new movie stunt for Tourism Australia.
