OpenAI is becoming a very entertaining advertiser. After captivating the US and the UK with the witty personalities of older people for ChatGPT Voice, it brings suspense, drama and a splash of humour to India and introduces its new Hindi voices, Neer and Leher.
Mili Kapoor, consumer marketing at OpenAI, explained in LinkedIn,
“India is a country of a million little moments, quirks, conversations, and relationships that make everyday life so wonderfully unique.
“And that’s exactly where we want ChatGPT to belong. Not just as technology that people use, but as something that feels familiar, relevant, and naturally woven into their everyday lives.
“Introducing The Notice, our first-ever short film for ChatGPT. A little humour, a lot of heart, and a story that’s unmistakably Indian. Because the most meaningful way to bring technology closer to people is through stories they can see themselves in.”
The Notice is the story of the Kumar family, who are faced with eviction when a property developer claims their ancestral home and farmland. AI becomes their guide as they hunt down their title deed…Along the way, family members also ask ChatGPT for personal advice.
The four-and-a-half minute film was directed by filmmaker, Reema Kagti, and produced by Tiger Telly.

The campaign aims to make ChatGPT more accessible in India. Additional films are planned around individual family members and their personal goals.
