Taxi Film and its siblings, Traffic and Tasty, have lured senior international producer, Chris Klockner, from London.
A producer with the essential nous needed to turn a story into a flawless film and a first-hand understanding of what a story needs to hold audiences in its grasp.
Chris Klockner is the two things great film needs. The senior producer has spent nearly two decades finessing his understanding of how remarkable content works, starting at the bottom of the film industry, “old school style,” as a runner and working his way up through the ranks between 2000 and 2007. In those early years, his experience and intuition were challenged, nurtured and finessed at the BBC, Channel 5, Spectre, Godman and Sledge before he joined Motion Picture House London as a producer from 2007, followed by Kash Productions in 2010.
In 2011, Klockner launched Magnify Films, a small content production company based in London that gained a reputation for punching above its weight in terms of output.
His 2009 short film, Tea & Biscuits, won the Ladymakers Film Festival LA.
In the same year, he worked on Unto Others, written by Framestore creative directors, Gavin and Jason Fox, which was shortlisted for six international film festival awards.
Now the senior producer is spreading his wings geographically to Australia, where he has been signed by Taxi Film Sydney to work across its three offices, Taxi, Traffic and Tasty. Klockner will bring his eye and international experience to Taxi’s commercials, short films, music videos, animation and digital content.
“Klockner is exactly what Taxi Sydney needed,” commented Taxi executive producer, Andrew Wareham, “a very experienced and extremely versatile producer with international credentials and an enthusiasm that’s second to none.”
