Times Square is full of razzle-dazzle advertising by big brands. It’s a place where brands shout louder with loads of money and the latest tech.
AI assistant start-up, Cluely, is shouting louder without either. Among the glitz and the glamour, the brand has inserted very plain, black and white text billboards – and unadorned honesty – “hi i’m roy im 21. this was very expensive. pls buy my thing”

On LinkedIn, Cluely CEO added this disarming message, “Cluely billboards are now live in times square for the next 4 weeks. welcome back to school everyone! comment “handsome” and i’ll dm u exactly how much this costs + who our billboard guy was”
The campaign’s mischievous attitude is built into the brand’s DNA. “Cluely is a real-time AI that gives you the power to search anything during meetings, without anyone knowing,” is the brand’s by-line.
