Credit24’s first above-the-line campaign features two “anti-ambassadors” – a fluffy red monster and a swashbuckling pirate, who offer promises of unserviceable loans and never-ending contracts. The tongue-in-cheek campaign by DDB Sydney aims to differentiate Credit24 from its competitors by poking fun at the often-mistrusted fast loan industry.
Matt Chandler, chief creative officer at DDB Sydney, commented, “This slightly bonkers campaign shows that where other lenders rely on obfuscation and gimmicks to lure you in, Credit 24 is about simplicity and transparency. We had a lot of fun making this work with our brilliant new clients, it’s a platform we hope will grow over time and establish the brand as a more trustworthy alternative.”
The three-month Australia-wide campaign is running across online video, radio, out-of-home, social and TV.
The campaign is the first work by DDB Sydney for Credit24, an Australian personal loan provider, offering small and medium-sized loans, with fast online approvals and flexible repayment terms.
Tiffany Nguyen, head of sales & marketing at Credit 24, stated, “Right from the pitch, the DDB team didn’t shy away from our lofty ambition to position Credit24 as the most trusted brand in a category that is actively distrusted. It was a tough challenge, but one they’ve risen to with a campaign that pokes some light-hearted fun at the consumer lending industry, while also leaning into Credit24’s core mission of being simple, honest and transparent, focused on helping Australian customers in times of need and removing unnecessary barriers.”
