Omnicom’s announcements a week ago has created quite a stir. And not just for its timing. It’s hard to be festive when you’re fired.
But independent creative agency, UltraSuperNew, would like to put a positive spin on it, in whatever small way they can. Although they can’t help the thousands having a particularly gloomy Christmas this year, they are hoping to bring smiles back to the faces of a handful of them with the announcement of five open positions.
They’ve even given it a name: Tokyo Calling.
Based in Tokyo with offices in Singapore and Amsterdam, the agency is looking for super passionate people, the sort of creatives who care deeply about the work and are looking to connect dots in ways they’ve never been connected before. Those who wouldn’t mind living in one of the coolest cities on the planet, while engaging in – and learning from – a culture that is at once harmonious, chaotic, spiritual and oh-so-kind.
And while the holding companies may be bankrupt (morally or otherwise), UltraSuperNew doesn’t think the industry actually is. It’s simply disseminating – scattering into new shapes, new places, new possibilities.

The agency has been awarded Campaign Asia Independent Agency of the Year 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024
