FCB has named Andrés Ordóñez global chief creative officer replacing Susan Credle, who has become creative advisor for FCB’s holding company, IPG. Ordóñez joined FCB Chicago four and a half years ago as chief creative officer from Energy BBDO, where he had spent the last five years and eight months, the last three-and-a-half years as chief creative officer.
Under his leadership, FCB Chicago has been recognised as the #1 Creative Agency in North America, the third globally and the #1 Reach Track Agency at Cannes Lions. He has also been a driver in the agency’s growth that has included new business wins, Danone, Terminix and the United States Postal Service. His twenty-year career includes stints at strategic communications agency, The Bravo Group; WPP agency, Zubi Advertising in Miami; and BBDO Puerto Rico. He has an impressive collection of international awards to his name, including Andy Awards, D&AD, Cannes Lions, One Show, ADC, Clios, LIA Awards, Warc, and Effies.
Credle will remain global chair of FCB through the end of this year and will work with Ordóñez to establish a smooth transition across the FCB network.
