“The LeakGuard technology in Glad’s garbage bags prevents leaks.” That statement is not going to get anyone excited, unless they’ve just experienced the remains of yesterday’s lentil dahl oozing all over the floors from a bag as it was carried outside.
On the other hand, celebrity leaks do get people excited. So FCB Chicago has married the two for Clorox Glad’s new campaign. The campaign features a series of print ads in which Glad’s trash bags help prevent “leaks” related to themes in the entertainment industry. The humorous takeaway is that if Glad’s LeakGuard Technology could have kept these big spoilers in the bag – it can help prevent everyday kitchen trash leaks.
The campaign’s first two executions, Actor and Singer appeared in national print publications, including People (5/6 issue) and Entertainment Weekly (5/3 issue). The ads will also appear on billboards and posters across the US.
