Sydney’s Wasamedia began as a PR agency eighteen years ago, begun by David Wasserman after launching the Hilton Hotel brand in Australia in 2005. As it grew, it became the hospitality industry’s go-to place to win fame as a PR and digital agency. It has now reinvented itself as Stanley House Studios, a nod to its 18-year home, Stanley Street, Darlinghurst.
Stanley Street Studios still lives in urban culture and is ruled by a passion for food and drink and lives the urban life. Its clients include alcohol brands such as Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, Peanut Butter Sheepdog Whisky & Buffalo Trace Whiskey, travel brands including Anantara Hotels, and hospitality groups Tilley & Wills Hotel, Hello Auntie Group and Golden Century Group.
Stanley House Studios’ team of 15 industry connectors, strategists and forward-thinking creatives is led by directors, David Wasserman and George Redmond. Together, they’ve built a reputation for creating buzz and driving business growth with a focus on food and beverage brands, launching over 150 brands in the Australian market.

Wasserman stated, “I have always had an obsession for travel, great food and old school hospitality, and the business has naturally evolved in this space. Our business mantra is to connect people in a meaningful way and to help them grow their communities with strategic and attention-grabbing comms. Stanley House Studios represents a new chapter in our business purpose.”
George Redmond, a former lawyer from New Zealand, joined in 2007 and became a partner in 2015. “We started out as a traditional media relations agency and have evolved and innovated to reflect how people are consuming culture and learning about brands. We are now proud to encompass a full marketing team from PR specialists and TikTok content creators through to social ad strategists.”
A major progression for the agency was being awarded the Social & Digital Campaign of the Year in the PRIA 2018 Awards for its work with global hotel brand, Anantara. Now as Stanley House Studios, the agency is embracing new technology such as AI and continues to work to give brands an original voice in a crowded market.
In line with its ethos of opening doors and making connections, Stanley House will curate a series of Curious Conversations events that will spark conversation around industry trends and share their knowledge acquired through decades as hospitality marketing experts. Curious Conversations events updates will be made on the brands’ social media and welcomes anyone from the industry to attend and connect.
