AI-specialist production company, Fourthe, has appointed Nick Kelly as executive producer, reuniting him with founders and long-time collaborators Jay Topping and Digby Hogan.
Kelly is known for his forward-thinking approach and calm, collaborative style, following a career delivering top-tier work for prominent global clients, agencies, and production companies. His extensive industry background includes agency-side production roles at Saatchi & Saatchi, M&C Saatchi and TBWA\Worldwide in London. More recently, Kelly produced campaigns at Good Oil Films in New Zealand for two years, and spent six years as a senior producer at Eight Productions in Australia alongside Fourthe co-founder, Jay Topping.
While The Fourthe makes its mark at the forefront of emerging technology, the studio views these advanced capabilities through a veteran production lens. Kelly’s appointment anchors this creative-led approach, bringing close to two decades of traditional production experience to the changing landscape.
Kelly commented, “I’m excited to be reconnecting with familiar faces as the industry moves in this new direction. Bringing clients in early to test, experiment, and prove out the technology creates a level of creative freedom you rarely get in traditional setups, whether we’re supporting a live-action shoot, solving a post puzzle, or building from scratch.”
Co-founders Jay Topping and Digby Hogan believe Kelly’s background is exactly what the industry needs as next-generation production setups become more mainstream. “As the tech continues to evolve, it’s more important than ever to have traditional production experience in the room to channel those efforts,” Topping stated. “Clients, creatives, and producers still expect the structure, rigour and guardrails that come with traditional filmmaking. Nick brings the exact experience needed to protect that process.”
